The Journal of a Spiritual Seeker, Transmuting and Transforming through Pain

Hello Seekers,

This is interesting timing, because just this week I learned of a past life that is a large part of why I experience so much physical pain in this body. Isn’t energy fascinating, that experiences we have in former incarnations can manifest as physical illness in this lifetime?

At the time of this entry, I was in a great deal of pain beyond that which normally occurs with my chronic pain condition. I had a kidney stone, which thankfully my acupuncturist was able to help with, and I had ovarian cysts that were acting up at the same time. The combination had me writhing on the bed. I suspected that the pain itself was helping me transmute some old, stuck energies that were based in trauma. And I also felt that, by dealing with the physical pain, I didn’t have to delve into the emotional pain or the mental anguish associated with that trauma.

By seeing the deeper implications of my physical pain, I was able to let go of my attachments to it. What I mean is, I could experience the pain for what it is, without having an overly strong emotional response to it (a.k.a. feeling terribly sorry for myself). Not that I’m never emotional about the pain — I have felt very sorry for myself, and will again, I am sure. But having an understanding of what the pain is helping me learn, release and transmute, helps me maintain perspective, which helps me stay out of the depths of despair (as Anne Shirley would say).

We all have our pain and anguish, whether it’s physical or mental or emotional or some combination of all three. Is there an opening within you for understanding why you’re experiencing whatever it is you’re experiencing? Can you look from a higher perspective, and perhaps even find gratitude in your heart for what you’ve learned as a result? Maybe the answer is no, and that’s okay too. But if the answer is yes, open your heart to that gratitude and allow it to flow out of your heart and into your daily life.

The Light is also reminding me that healing takes place on a spectrum, so be prepared to have whatever feelings you need to have around your healing journey. Don’t judge your feelings, or yourself for having them. Don’t allow them to lock you into a downward spiral. Just allow them to flow, because when you do, they always flow up into the places of higher perspective the Light is talking about here.

Sending so much healing light to you,

Jodie

Q and A with the Light, Nov. 9, 2017

Fear is holding you back still, but you are transmuting it, and that is good. You’re exhausted with the physical manifestations of the work you are doing. Allow it to progress.

Me: Is the pain transmuting energies for me?

Yes.

Me: I ask the Light, is there any other information that would be helpful for me during this process?

These physical manifestations are in fact helping to clear and cleanse and balance and harmonize your energy field. Embrace the effects with gratitude for the work being done here. Allow yourself to release these energies into the Light, where they can and will be transmuted. Allow the channels of light within you to be cleared of any and all blockages.

This process is grounding you, that you will better be able to bring light through to 3-D in increasingly more productive and positive ways.

Balancing is required and is taking place now, as you write.

The pain is forging these channels, as fire forges metal. You are being made stronger and that strength will be necessary as you move forward.

Release into this process. Allow light to fill and consume the process. Allow light to expand forth from within, from your soul.

Your DNA is shifting as a part of this process and old models for operation are being phased out. Do not resist this change taking place on a molecular level. Open to it, allow it to expand and fill all the places and spaces among, within and between your cells. Allow this change to come forth from within for the structure of this change is already in place — it is a part of your essence and it is an activation taking place, not an addition.

Be aware as this happens of the changes taking place and the feelings elicited as part of this process. These are the ways you will become more deeply aware of frequencies and more able to maintain higher frequencies in your readings and personal communications.

Your mind is very active in resisting this ongoing shifting because your mind is still afraid of change. Fear was useful at times, but you are being called to release fear and move on and forward from there.

You can quiet your mind by continuously tuning in to the Light. Until the process is complete, evaluate all of these thoughts and feelings based on frequencies. When your mind bounces around, follow its trail, find the root, and shine light directly into the spaces where fear has been planted. Pull these energies out and transmute them.

Clearing these energies will be a big step toward living in constant union with the light of your soul.

Denial is a harmful construct removing you from this union, so uprooting the energies behind this denial and transmuting them is important work in this process.

Practice this.

Exercise: Begin each exercise by grounding and protecting. For more information on how, see this post.

When you’re feeling very grounded, ask within: what pain am I experiencing right now? Is it physical, emotional, mental, spiritual or some combination of all of these? See if you can trace this pain to a root. Sometimes there are many roots, and they’re not revealed right away, so just be patient and see what you find. Ask yourself next, is there anything I can see that I’m learning from this? Are there any energies that are being cleared right now as a result of this experience? When you’ve finished with this reflection, do your grounding exercise again.

If your present experience is too raw — if it’s too soon to dig deeper — reflect instead on something you experienced in the past. Maybe at the time, it seemed like the end of your world, but with hindsight, you can see how the experience was formative to who you’ve become. I’ve found this kind of reflection, when I don’t dwell, can help me trust that what I’m experiencing now will ultimately serve whoever I’m in the process of becoming.

A brief note: This journal and its exercises are simply a means to help you find your own flow. There is no pressure to follow them exactly or read each and every one. It does not need to be read in order either, so if you miss one, don’t feel like you’ve failed or fallen behind. These messages are here to hold space for you as you discover and evolve within your spiritual practice.

This is the first volume of The Journal of the Spiritual Seeker, and I’m presenting it here on The Devic Connection website, serialized over the last 10 weeks of 2020, with weekly roundups via email (you can sign up in the box at the bottom of this page if you’d like to receive these.) If you’ve just arrived here and would like to start from the beginning, here’s the link to the first post.

We all need help with clarity …

Sometimes, things come up in the healing journey that we can’t quite manage by ourselves. I’m fortunate to have people I can call on to help me gain that clarity. And I’m also in therapy, which helps immensely with processing the psychological and mental health issues. If you find yourself getting stuck on this journey or having something come up that you need some guidance on, please do seek help. An internet search can help you find a qualified mental health practitioner for those psychological issues. And if you’re looking for help from the Light on the spiritual questions, I have some availability for readings. (Read more about that here.)
